Ecco i nostri nonni: Mariuccia e Romano da più giovani

Why did we call our farm “Agri-Geuna”®?

We were born in 2016, and we wondered what the name of our company could be, until the choice fell on two essential components:

  • “Agri” stands for agriculture, our market sector. From our very name, we want to link the business with the land, so our motto was born: “we passionately cultivate the fruits of the earth”.
  • “Geuna” is simply our surname; all of us partners share this surname. This is also partly part of “putting our face to it”.

Now you might be wondering how that is possible😊We are a family-run business; we took over the farm that belonged to our grandparents Romano and Mariuccia a few years ago. Their son Carlo and grandson Fabio took over the plots, bringing a wave of innovation to the crops. Over time, the grandchildren have contributed to creating the website, managing orders, and production. Today, everyone tries to lend a hand to grow the business and pass on the respect for nature and the environment.

The motivation that prompted us on July 25, 2019, to register our company name (“Agri-Geuna”®) through the Chamber of Commerce was mainly this: to keep the Story alive, with a capital S. Our roots, our land of origin, are the fuel of the business. Our grandparents are now 85 and 87 years old and still want to see the planting, take part in pruning, and bag the “Nocciola del Monviso”® even though they are unable to; they physically cannot do it anymore.

Just think that our grandparents mainly grew fruit such as apples, plums, and cherries. Through a small revolution, we converted the cultivation to Tonda Gentile hazelnuts, saffron threads, and Stevia Rebaudiana 😊
