They are trimmings of white hazel wood, which give off a very refined aroma that adds an authentic flavor to your dishes and products baked in a wood-fired oven.
But if you don't have a wood-fired oven, that's no problem: they are also great for lighting your fireplace or your grandmother's!
They are available during the pruning season (January) and can be supplied in bundles, ready to use.
Because hazel wood is very flexible, elastic, and lightweight, it has been used since ancient times to make baskets and fences. The branches can be used fresh or left to dry, gathered in bundles or rolled up and stored in a dry, well-ventilated place.
Even the thinnest shoots (dried and then soaked for about a week until they become completely flexible again) can be used whole or split in half. They can also be used to make dowsing rods.
The charcoal made from the wood is used not only as fuel but also in the production of gunpowder and drawing charcoal. It is also excellent for decorations or decoupage.
Of course, they always come from organic hazelnuts.
Don't use just any waste product—your products deserve better, cleaner wood!
